Thanks to the amazing generosity of the Raider families who gave through the Raider Challenge the library is being renovated! We closed just a few weeks earlier than usual this spring. With the help of a hard-working team of volunteers, we boxed and temporarily relocated all of the books. The offices and workrooms were packed, and the shelves and furniture sold and removed.
The renovation then began on Monday, April 30 and will be completed by the end of May. The updated space will have new carpet, lighting, mobile shelving and furniture, comfortable reading areas, and improved technology. It will be brighter, more flexible, and conducive to hosting a much wider variety of collaborative activities and programs. It is exactly what we need to offer our 21st Century learners as they prepare for the future!
We are so thankful for the funds for the refresh and look forward to welcoming the Raiders to the library at the end of the month. Please stay tuned for details about the ribbon cutting and reveal party!
